Beverly Hills - Rodeo Drive
If I am ever in the Los Angeles, I would really like to drive out and visit Beverly Hills. I am not sure of all of the tourist attractions available there, but I think I would really enjoy driving around and just taking in the atmosphere. There are so many streets and areas in Beverly Hills that I have heard about growing up that I think it would be fun just to drive down and actually see them with my own eyes. One street that I would definitely have to visit is Rodeo Drive. This is where a lot of celebrities are spotted every day shopping. I don't know if I could get into the craze of celebrity spotting, but I would like to see the stores in the area and see where they go...hey, if I bump into a celebrity or two, that would be fun! I think that the one thing that would excite me the most about visiting Beverly Hills is saying "I'm in Beverly Hills, 90210"!

Boston Museum of Science

The next time I visit Boston, I really want to go see the Museum of Science! I know a lot of you would not want to waste your vacation time to see a museum, but this specific museum has a lot of meaning to me. When I was younger, I got the opportunity to sleep overnight in the museum. I was in a huge contest that held the regional part of the contest right inside the Museum. When you registered, they gave a card saying where we would be sleeping. My family and I got the brain room! When my sister saw the cat brain, we moved out to sleep in the hall. It was a weekend packed with fun playing and seeing everything that the museum had to offer. The museum had a lot of hands-on things that you could do, and I would love to go visit it again and see what is still the same (of what I can remember). Looking at the map image of the museum, I already noticed one thing that I did not remember...water all around the building! I was only 10 years old at the time, so I am sure details like that were lost. I am hoping to take a trip to Boston sometime during August, so if you want to meet up with me and visit the Museum of Science, leave a comment!

Sprague Brook State Park
Since I was a baby, my family and I would spend almost every weekend during the summer camping. Back then, we had a really nice camper that we would stay in! I have to say that they were some of my best memories from my past. A few years ago, my brother and I decided to start the camping tradition again. It is a little different now though. The first major change is that we do not have the camper anymore. Instead, we have been tenting the trips. It is not as comfortable as what we used to have. Luckily, we only go camping once or twice a year, so it doesn't take too much out of me! There are a lot more changes from the past, but I am not going to bore you with all the details, instead I am going to talk about where we will be staying this weekend.
The camping area is called Sprague Brook State Park. It is about 40 minutes south of Buffalo, NY. We stayed at this park for most of our camping trips when I was younger, so I feel like I really know the park. There are some nice trails throughout the forest, 3 ponds for some fishing (pan fish, bass, and trout), creeks (great for creek walking), playgrounds, and more! I think the best thing that this camping area has is a public bathroom! If you are in the area and are looking for a place to camp, I highly recommend checking out Sprague Brook State Park.
Because of this camping trip, I am not going to be able to post tomorrow. I will be back posting on Monday morning...have a great weekend!

World Cup ‘06 Finals

Even though I have not played for awhile now, I am a big soccer fan. I actually enjoy sitting in-front of the TV and watching a game from start to finish. I love to watch the "greats" in the game today, and see what new moves they think up and actually perform against their competitors. If you agree with my thoughts on soccer, I am sure you will be watching the final match of the 2006 World Cup on Sunday. France and Italy will be facing each other to see who will take home the victory. I was rooting for Brazil throughout the entire tournament, but they were not able to get past the round of 8 this year...so I will just watch this game for the enjoyment of the sport. The match will be held in Olympiastadion which is located in Berlin, Germany. The stadium can hold 72,000 people. The stadium has undergone reconstruction (4 years of work), and looks unbelievable! The roof-line looks to be in the shape of a horseshoe, and the entire complex looks to be one of the most state-of-the-art places I have ever seen. The thing that shocked me the most is how detailed the Google map image was of the stadium. You can see the stadium and its surroundings really well in the map image. I have a feeling that the game will be a low-scoring game, but it will be a great one to watch. Enjoy your soccer this weekend!
