2008 Superbowl Commercials
Yesterday I decided to discuss the outcome of the super bowl. Today, I am going to talk about what most people look forward to...the commercials! For a 30 second spot this year, it cost a company 2.7 million dollars. For that price, every commercial should be perfect! While a few of them were a disappointment to me, a lot of them caught my eye and made me laugh. I think my favorite commercial this year has to be the Doritos where the guy uses a Dorito on a mouse trap. What happened was very unexpected and was ridiculously funny!

If you want to see a commercial someone is talking about, one you missed, or just want to replay your favorite, check out today's website. Myspace.com has done a nice job organizing them and letting you watch them on their faux television.

Geekbrief Live Apple Keynote Coverage
geekbrief
In just a couple hours, Steve Jobs will be getting on stage (yet again) to deliver his Macworld keynote address. As you know from past posts throughout the years, I am a huge fan of these keynotes, and I am always extremely excited to hear what he has to say!

To watch a keynote, you can either wait until it is over and watch the quicktime video that Apple will supply, or you can find a website that is live blogging about the keynote. I do the latter, and I have tested a few sites out in the past. This year, I will be reading the live blog by Cali Lewis from GeekBrief. She is at Macworld this year, and will be at the keynote with her laptop in hand. With her excitement for Apple, I am sure it will be a ton of fun watching what she posts. Lets hope there are a ton of great new additions to the Apple lineup!

MacRumors: Buyer’s Guide
mac rumors guides
Are you thinking of buying a new Apple Product in the near future? I have known a few people that tell me that every time they buy something new from Apple, that product gets updated in a week or 2. To help out with this issue, keep a close eye on today's website. The site, hosted by MacRumors, lists all of Apple's iphone, ipod, and computer products. Each product has a recommendation (if you were thinking of purchasing today) that is determined by 4 topics: the notes on the product, days since the last update, last release, and recent rumors. This Guide is a brilliant addition to Mac Rumors, and I will definitely be using it in the future!

1 Sale a Day
Everyone knows that I am a big fan of Woot.com, but are there other sites that I have started watching that are similar? I recently found a site called "1 Sale a Day". I think the first thing that caught my eye was how close the name of the site was to A Day Blog. What kept me coming back to the site was to see what deal they were offering for the day!

I am not a big fan of the site itself. To me, it feels like there are too many web 2.0 features on the site. Instead of pages taking you to the sections on the site, dropdowns open up to let you read everything. This makes everything on the page very cluttered!

Like I said before, I am a fan of the site because of the daily sales, and I will keep coming back daily!

Mrs. Claus’ Cookbook
claus cookbook
It seems that this holiday season is the time for baking! Cookies, pies, gingerbread houses, and many other deserts are made during this time of year to help celebrate. Our belts might not like all of this food, but we sure do!

If you are interested in trying out some new recipes, check out today's website...Mrs. Claus' Cookbook. This recipe is part of the Northpole website. When I started looking through the categories, I was amazed at the amount of recipes. I do not think I am exaggerating when I say there are close to 1000 different recipes to try out! If you have tasted something at a party or friends house and always wanted the recipe, this is the first place I would look!
