My Chemical Romance — Welcome to the Black Parade
I really hate when I hear a song on the radio, and then all of a sudden that song is stuck in my head! It gets even worse when I really do not know the song, but I hear the instrumentals over and over again. I have had "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance stuck in my head for the past couple days now...
If you are not familiar with the song, it fits in well with my music library. It is a song that starts off as a nice, slow song with mainly just vocals (and a soft instrumental background). As the song continues, the instrumentals become more powerful and soon pop into an awesome rock song! I really enjoy the style of the song, and I can see why a song like this got stuck in my head.
I highly recommend listening to today's song...I have a good feeling you will enjoy it!

K-OS — The Rain
Today is another demo day, so I have to make this post short again. Remember a few weeks ago I said that I was not going to post about free singles that I did not enjoy? This week's single from Apple is probably my favorite song yet...so it is imperative that I post about it! The song is called "The Rain" by K-OS. It is a very slow beat and is very relaxing to listen to. Even though Apple has classified this song as Alternative, I feel that it is mixed between Alternative and R&B. If the rest of the songs on the CD are similar to this one, I am sure to buy it! Make sure to download this week's free single before it is gone!

Consequence - Callin’ Me
As I mentioned earlier in the week, I am rushing to get a demo done by Friday, so I really do not have a lot of time to post this. I just wanted to put up a link to this week's single ("Callin' Me") by Consequence. Enjoy the free download!

James Morrison - You Give Me Something
Apple seemed to be a little late to get their free single of the week out this week. I showed up yesterday, and found that last week's single was still up. Well, the new single is up, and the song is worth the wait! They have selected "You Give Me Something" by James Morrison. Morrison's vocals remind me a lot of Daniel Powter. His lyrics are really easy to listen to, and are a little higher pitched than more male artists. He is not as high as James Blunt though. The instrumentals in this song are a lot more orchestral than other artists. You hear a wide variety of strings, piano, drums, and a little brass. Apple stated that the style of the song was soul from the 70s. I have never really listened to soul music from the 70s, but if this is that style I am interested! I highly encourage everyone taking a listen to this week's free single from Apple. I enjoyed it and I hope you do too...

The Good, The Bad, The Queen - Herculean
After reading Apple's blurb of this week's free single of the week, I was lost. I do not think I understood anything they said! The song this week is called "Herculean" by The Good, The Bad, The Queen. It is a slower/mellow song that is great to unwind with. The song has a little bit of vocals, but the song is really geared around its instrumentals. The way the song sounded reminded me a lot of the Gorillaz, but not as up-beat. It is definitely unique sounding, and for that I like it. Unfortunately, I am finding it hard to give a good explanation about the song...so just go and download it while it is still free!
